Our world is obsessed with status—who sits where, who gets noticed, who holds influence. But Jesus turns all of that upside down. In a culture that prized honor, rank, and reputation, Jesus chose the path of humility. He did not climb the ladder of power; He descended it.
Scripture tells us,
“The Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many” (Mark 10:45). This is not just something Jesus did—this is who He is.
Jesus took the lowest place.
Instead of seeking the best seat at the table, He took the role of a servant.
Instead of demanding honor, He washed feet.
Instead of seeking revenge, He taught us to ...
