As we step into a new year, I find myself reflecting on the tradition of New Year’s resolutions. Have you ever made one? Better yet, have you ever managed to keep one?
Every January, we look back at the year behind us and imagine ways we might do better, be better, or finally become that “new and improved” version of ourselves. Yet, no matter how hard we try, it never quite feels like enough. That’s because the longing we carry can only be filled by Christ. As Scripture reminds us:
“If anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come. The old has gone, the new is here!” (2 Corinthians 5:17).
